I have been working closely with Wendi and the James City County Police Department for the last 11+ years to bring justice for Jennifer. Wendi’s commitment to Jennifer does not seem just professional, it feels personal. This is evident through the thoughtfulness and detail of Wendi’s work. Her investigatory notes are done with the forethought and care for those who use them next. To her thorough interview preparation because she knows the reality is there will only be one opportunity. Wendi eagerly does the hard-investigative work that hinges on small details well and with the care that extends further than professionalism. There is no doubt the case would be where it is today without Wendi’s efforts. Wendi has defended Jennifer as a police officer and is giving her voice as a writer.

Defending and giving voice to those who cannot for themselves brings out the best in us and is a privilege. I am grateful Wendi has seized the opportunity.  I am deeply appreciative of Wendi’s sincere dedication and commitment to justice for Jennifer.  I look forward to reading her book.
